Abby Ekas

 This adorable little girl took me by surprise  after seeing her for the first time at Beech Bend Super Star Competition. Abby just literally blew me away with her performance , she sang " Undo It " a Carrie Underwood cover , this girl is not just a great vocalist , but a marvelous entertainer , there is no!_  just standing and sing,_ she gets into it!  I rarely write about or promote anyone who is as new as Abby , but she has something special and I wanted to share it with everyone.

 Abby may be new to YouTube and singing competitions , but she is not new to music. Abby has been singing and dancing since she was three years old. She started out in ballet and moved on to Irish Steppe Dancing , she did great in this , taking second and third place in competitions. At about age five she started with a music teacher while she was in Massachusetts.  She then would perform at open houses at her grandmothers gymnastics school and various times at her schools. People began to tell her mom that she really had something with her. So she sat down to talk with Abby and Abby said " that music was all she wanted to do when she grew up " .  Then about age seven Abby started playing the guitar and piano. Then started writing her own lyrics and putting them to music.  She writes about her experiences and her music is her way of expressing her feelings. Abby`s mom says that , she  has always been strong in the creative arts....art, dance, singing, musical instruments

 Now Abby`s journey really begins. With her love for country music her mom packed them up and moved them from Boston to Nashville , the home of country music. Here is where she is working to try and make her daughters dream come true. After arriving,  Abby began working with a vocal and performance coach Jessica Ford and in a short time they have connected and working hard to make Abby`s dream come true.

 Since then she has performed at Beech Bend Super Star competition twice ( one I was lucky enough to be there to see ) . She will soon be performing at The Commodore Grille in Nashville which will be a recital for her music teacher. Abby may not have done many performances yet , but after having the privalige of spending a little time with her recently I know , that soon people will be knocking on her door begging for her to perform. She has all the talent and charm to take her any where she wants to go and I can tell you giving up is no option. One day not far down the road " Abby Ekas " will become a house hold name across the country and she will own the stage.

 Abby`s idol is Brad Paisley, she is such a fan , that at one of his concerts she was front row and was singing every word a long with Brad. He was so impressed she knew all the words , that he and Abby played around all night,  he even let her wear his hat , then after the show he took her back stage for a meet and greet. Now tell me that wasn`t cool of Brad.  I know that Abby was the happiest girl on the planet.  From what I can see of Abby , when it is her turn on stage , she will remember this and return the favor to a fan of hers......
