California girl Analise, is a true triple threat. She is gifted in all areas of entertainment, excelling in acting and singing. Acting, Analise can hold her own with the best of them on stage or on the big screen. When it comes to singing, she has the power to take on even the biggest songs, with control of a seasoned veteran twice her age. The sky is the limit for Analise.
It was in the age range of three to seven that Analise and her parents began to see her talents come to light. She would sing along with musicals like Phantom of the Opera, Orphan Annie, The Sound of Music, and Disney’s – Princess sing alongs. This is when her mom noticed she had a great voice. At age seven Analise’s mom put her in a performing arts school (LAMusART). “I auditioned for one of their musicals and got the role of Chip in Beauty and the Beast and that’s how I started acting too” says Analise. And she says, she’s had many great people who have helped to inspire her journey. “My biggest idol is Mariah Carey because to me her voice is the best and I like her acting too” says Analise. Other singers and actors include, Demi Lovato, Zendaya, and Selena Gomez.
Over a short period, Analise’s acting resume has grown very well, continuing to add to it on a regular basis . She has landed a role in a couple of short films, The Return where she payed the daughter of a family and Tie The Knot where she was a naughty school kid. Some other projects include, Food Network Stars, The Westbrooks and Blackish. When it comes to theater Analise is no stranger to lead roles. Some of these include, Rumpelstiltskin as Laura, Shakespeare’s Hamlet as Ofelia, and A Christmas Toy Story as Holly.
One of Analise’s more recent accomplishments was landing a role in Disney’s fantasy film, A Wrinkle In Time. A Wrinkle In Time is about a shy girl named Meg who losses her father in one of his time machine experiments. Meg goes through a fantasy adventure to the universe to find him. “For me being in this movie was one of the best experiences ever” says Analise. She played the role of Veronica’s friend which was one of the bullies to Meg. Analise said, “Playing a bully was something I never imagined I could do, but I kept telling myself it’s all just acting”. In this movie she was able to work with some talented stars, Rowan Blanchard and Storm Reid. This project also gave her a spot in People Magazine.
When it comes to singing, Analise has landed on many major networks. “I’ve done many solo performances for Univision 34, Estrella TV, Telemundo, Asteca TV, HBO, ABC7, and CBS2/KCAL9. Since I was 8 years old, I’ve been receiving many invitations to perform at special events and Fundraiser Benefits” says Analise. She has performed over 250 solo performances on stage. She has found herself in many venues as well, The Joint, The Mint, The Cap, The Avalon, The Catalina Bar, The Gaslamp, Los Angeles Convention Center and so many more. She is also the official National Anthem sing for the National Arthritis Walk held every year at the Angels Stadium.
In February 2016, Analise auditioned for the Princess Project which is a five girl pop group where they sing, act and dance. With no surprise Analise made it into the group in June 2016. This is where she met her mentor Mandy Rain. She says, Mandy has taught her a lot since they began working together.
A triple threat she may be, but she has now gone beyond. Stand Up comedy can now be added to that growing resume. Analise actually got started in stand-up by accident. She was performing at Leimert Park with ABC7 when a lady named Collette Craan of Standing Tall Kids approached. She thought Analise would make a great comedian. Analise got some training, and she was able to do her stand-up at the Ice House in Pasadena and also, at The Hollywood Improv. “This is just something I did to challenge myself and I loved it” says Analise.
There are kids all around the world who dream of being on Disney and how cool that would be. A young lady living in LA is one of these kids. Kylie Cantrall is a clever and quirky twelve-year-old whose whole existence is primarily based around Disney . Those who follow her on social media knows how true this is. Many people may recognize her on social media as, “Hello Kylie”. If you are one of these people, then you know her obsession. The Disney life is what she was born to live.
Kylie is one of those people who seems to be literally born talented, it all flows through her naturally. She is ridiculously funny, quick witted and extremely smart. Kylie is also a sensational vocalist, certainly one of the best in her age group. This appears to be natural as well. In the interview she said, “I guess you can say I never really started singing, it was just always there. I started recording as early as two years old”. How crazy is that, recording at two! That’s awesome. With her dad being a music producer, singing was in her blood.
Outside of Kylie’s music videos, she performs live as well. She has performed a great deal live, and she says opening up for Post Malone was one of her favorites. “I was only ten, and he was playing a sold out event in Orange County, 5 thousand people! And at first they were like, What’s this little kid doing on stage”, says Kylie. Needless to say, everyone at the sold out show loved her.
Songwriting is another skill she has been showing off, and can be heard in the lyrics in her song, “Shake”. This song was co-written by her along with Dwight Watson and Jeff Hoeppner. This song flows very well and it will get stuck in your head. She said this is a cut loose and have a good time song. Part of the reason she wrote the song, was because of her addiction to chocolate milkshakes. (who isn’t right)
The video for “Shake” is a blast to watch, the choreography is brilliant. The idea for the video came from Kylie along with the director Nayip Ramos. It was all filmed in a warehouse in North Hollywood. She says they went that morning and bought all the plants Home Depot had, shot the video and then returned them. (That’s funny, but clever). Whoever hasn’t seen this video yet needs to check it out, it carries a good Disney vibe. Kids will love it.
Currently, Kylie has four songs recorded and published. She says, she is always working on new material and is in the process of signing her first label deal. For now she cannot say what her new single will be that’s coming out, but she says, “It’s gonna be Hot”! Also she has some pop songs, trap music, and will even be singing in Spanish, a little something for everyone.
Kylie is a huge Disney fan and has been lucky to spend a great deal of her time there. “It feels like a second home” says Kylie. Her Disney dreaming is paying off. Soon there’s an episode of Bizaardvark that will air Kylie will be in. In this episode, Kylie will be playing Tessa, Bernie Shots assistant. “I have some great funny moments joking” says Kylie. Keep an eye out for this episode, you don’t want to miss it.
Being a huge Disney fan she does have some favorites, one of them is, Raven’s Home. One of the reasons Kylie likes this show so much is, one of her friends is on it, Sky Katz. (Sky co-stars on Raven’s Home and prior to that on America’s Got Talent rapping, awesome rapper) Kylie says Sky is one of the coolest people she knows.
TV has already been a big part of her life with her first TV show being at seven years old. Her mom works for a station called, Estrella TV. Her mom helped her to get on one of the dance shows. Since then, she has been on a couple other shows and commercials. “I really love the TV side of entertainment” says Kylie.
Along with music videos, she has also been producing a series called, Hello Kylie. She now has twelve episodes and they are all hilarious. In these episodes she talks about things or people she likes. They are mostly music related and will usually find her singing and dancing to some of her favorite songs. One of her favorites to produce was episode 12, Pentatonix. “I got to cast a bunch of kids my age to play the “Kid Version” of the Pentatonix. We shot that whole Episode in our living room” says Kylie. It was a family production, her and her dad came up with the outline and her mom did the hair and make-up. This episode is a blast to watch.
Even when Kylie is not making videos, she is always doing something that is fun and entertaining. When Kylie was asked what other fun things she likes do, here is what she said: “I have three main passions right now: Watching scary movies, playing “Fortnight” and developing my skills as a “Baby Goat Whisperer”. LOL
People often ask me what its like being a “Goat Whisperer”? I say “it not BahahahahaD. Its’ obvious she is just a blast all the time.
Kylie is well gifted in many areas of entertainment, along with a huge personality. Her creativity and vision is well beyond her years. Watching her videos, her delivery does not appear to be scripted, just all ad-lib. She has the likability factor that will take her a long way in entertainment. However, her natural ability with comedy, dance and singing will launch her career further than Zendaya. Any network could easily create a show around Kylie, it would be a household hit. Keep watching for more great things from Kylie.
No one can forget the brilliant performance by fifteen-year-old Aliyah Moulden at the blind audition on The Voice singing, Hound Dog. That performance earned her a three chair turn and becoming part of Team Blake. She held on throughout The Voice journey going up against many amazing artists. Her dedication, drive and stunning voice sent her to the very end. Unfortunately Aliyah didn’t win, but she did learn a great deal from the experience adding to her success after the show.
During her time on The Voice she learned a lot. “I learned to believe that I could keep going in a challenging situation”, says Aliyah. She also learned she could make it to the final and believe in herself.
One of the toughest parts to being on a national competition like that, was not knowing if the performance she was doing would be the last. She says it was a lot of pressure. However, Aliyah did enjoy the experience so much, she did not, want it to stop. Being part of the show did help her to improve as an artist. “I kept pushing myself to do better each week to stay in the competition. Because of my pushing, I became a better vocalist”, says Aliyah. She also says, the show would be great for other artists like her, the experience is so amazing.
One of the biggest advantages there are from being on a show like The Voice outside of winning, is the exposure. The exposure for Aliyah has made a big difference in her life and she has achieved celebrity status. One of the first things that came from it was being recognized by the La Habra City. She has received many awards, and was invited to be the Grand Marshal for one of the city’s main events, The Corn Festival. She was also recognized by the La Habra Boys and Girls Club. The show also opened the door for her opportunity to be in two movies.
So far Aliyah has not signed to any recording deals yet, but not from the lack of being approached, she just has not found a good fit for herself. However she continues to stay booked with singing, acting, performances, and public appearances.
Aliyah has been busy writing some of her own songs, she says, she writes at least one per day. The songs have been about her personal experiences and feelings. “Sometimes I write about growing up, love, friendship, and family”, says Aliyah. Her life is very busy and when she gets some quite time at home that is when she writes. She has also been working in the studio and at the end of February she will be recording her new single. The single should be ready by March or April.
There’s a lot of exciting things coming up for Aliyah. She completed a movie this past October and it will be coming out in the summer of 2018. She is in the process of filming a second movie and it will be premiering in the spring of 2018. She is also in negotiations about getting her own web series.
For all of her fans out there Aliyah has something to say. “Thank you so much to all who supported me during my The Voice experience. I Love You. Kisses”, says Aliyah.
There are a lot of good things that can come from being on a show like The Voice. Whether you win or not, it can be a life changing experience and launch careers. Some people don’t do anything once they leave The Voice. But if a person works hard taking advantage of the exposure, good things could happened just as it has for Aliyah. What’s going on in Aliyah’s life now, is only the beginning.
Tegan Marie, is a singer who like many began putting up singing videos performing covers of her favorite songs. It didn’t take but a couple of videos for Tegan’s charm and voice to captured the attention of many music lovers. She was an instant sensation on the net.
As Tegan continued adding more videos, she also kept adding fans. They loved her voice and who she was as a person. Anyone who has known Tegan from the beginning, knows her dreams were to be a country star one day, and she loved doing things to help other kids. Her dreams are now coming true. They are coming true to an amazingly sweet and talented young lady.
Maybe a year or two after she began adding videos to the internet, Sweety High caught wind of her and things started changing in a big way. Soon after, Tegan was finding herself on Disney Radio and collaborating with some of the biggest country music stars out there. Couple of these stars include Craig Campbell and Kelsea Ballerini. She has also performed on many stages across the country, including an amazing performance at CMA Fest in downtown Nashville. People went crazy for her at this show, Entertainer Of The Year is in her future. She also made her debut performance on the Grand Ole Opry stage.
With Tegan’s dream of being a country music star coming true, one of her other dreams is as well. When Tegan was ten years old, she said she wanted to help as many unfortunate children as possible. It was her dream for people to remember her as the young girl with a great voice who helped them their treatment or who gave them warm clothes. Tegan is now using her new fame to do just that. When her single, Lucky Me came out, she had all the proceeds go to the children’s hospital in Flint, Michigan to help kids that were affected by the water. Tegan is a person of her word.
Tegan’s legacy has now begun. At the age of thirteen, Tegan was signed to Warner Music Nashville, making her the one of the youngest females to sign to a record deal. There’s a small few who have started a country music career at such an early age. Being signed at that age, she now falls in line with other female legends, who began early in life. Dolly Parton had her first single, Puppy Love out at age thirteen through a label in Louisiana. Tanya Tucker was thirteen when Delta Dawn came out in 1972, then LeAnn Rimes at age thirteen as well, with her release of Bill Mack’s song Blue in 1992. Tegan, just beat out Taylor Swift who signed at age fourteen.
Now at age fourteen, Tegan began making more headlines with her brand new song that she co-wrote, Keep It Lit. This song has taken off in a huge way, people love it. The song is basically about starting a relationship and keeping that spark lit which anyone of any age can relate. On January 31, 2018 Tegan became the first artist to perform on the brand new Opry City Stage in New York City. On this stage she performed her new song Keep It Lit to a packed house.
While a small spark can turn into a flame in a relationship, it can also do the same for dreams. Tegan had a dream that she kept lit. Sweety High came along, threw a little gas on that spark of hers and turned it into a flame. When Taylor Swift came on the scene, she set fire to the country and pop charts with no end insight. Now there’s a new fire burning in country music, that fire is Tegan Marie. Now watch Tegan, burn a trail right past Taylor leaving her in a cloud of smoke.
Introducing Joselyn Sky a tremendously talented young lady originality from Colorado, but now resides in California. Joselyn is skilled in multiple instruments which she uses together with a sweet-toned voice, to delight all who listens. She is a true charmer, her smiles will melt even the coldest hearts. When she is performing, her entire being is glistening lighting up the lives of everyone. If a person is feeling down, all one needs to do is pull up Joselyn’s videos and their day will change to one filled with joy.
Currently Joselyn plays three different instruments, piano, harp and ukulele. She started out on the piano when she was four, then ukulele at six, and harp at age eight. Playing her instruments is what she loves, but neither is a favorite, they are all special to her. She loves the piano because she has been playing it the longest and it has come to feel like it’s part of her. The ukulele is easy for her to play and has learned many songs on it. It is also easy to take places. The harp is unique she says and even when you mess up it sounds like angels.
Joselyn says she started singing with her mom before she could talk. Her parents would put her in front of the stereo before she could crawl, turn on the music and she would conduct. Joselyn literally had her first singing experience on stage when she was six. Her story about her first time on stage is as cute as can be, and no one can tell it better than Joselyn herself. Here is what she had to say; When I was six years old, I was at The St. Julien in Boulder, Colorado, where I grew up. There was live music there and my grandma said, ‘Oh Jossy, it’s too bad you can’t go up on stage and sing with them.’ I jumped up out of my seat to run up to the stage and she grabbed me by my shirt and said, ‘Oh no… I didn’t mean it. I was just kidding.’ I slapped her hand away and said, ‘Well I WASN’T!!!’ So I ran up to the stage and asked if I could go get my ukulele out of the car and play a song with them. The lead singer asked me what songs I knew, and I said Hallelujah. He asked me what the first chord was, and I said, ‘C’. Then he asked me what the last chord was, and I said, ‘C’. He shrugged his shoulders and said ‘Okay.’ That was my first time on stage and I loved it!!! I wasn’t afraid at all. It was just fun.” There’s no doubt everyone there was smiling from ear to ear and cheering her on. It would have been a treat to have been there that day.
One of the best times she has had on stage is when she was performing with Michael Franti at White Rock Music Festival in front of three thousand people. For Joselyn it was an awesome experience to be on stage with him. “I wish I could play with him again because it was incredible and there are no words to explain the amazing feeling I had inside of me when I played on stage with him” says Joselyn. She hopes to be able to play at Live Oak, another music festival she goes to.
A dream of her’s is to one day meet Paul Simon and Art Garfunkel. Joselyn plays so many of their songs it would mean a great deal to meet them. Another favorite she would like to meet is Willie Nelson.
Joselyn has a huge repertoire of songs, but there’s a few that stands out as favorites to her. One of her favorites to sing and play on the ukulele is Wagon Wheel by Old Crow Medicine Show and Bob Dylan. She says it’s a fun and catchy song. On piano she loves Ophelia by The Lumineers. “You can just be so in the music in that song it feels like you are the song” says Joselyn. On harp she loves to play and sing Life Is Better With You by Michael Franti. She says this song is so sweet, and she loves to play it for her mom and dad.
If you live out in her area, she will be on a local radio show on the 23rd of January. She also goes to farmer’s markets a lot and busk. She says she is saving up for a style 2000 Lyon and Healy pedal harp.
When she’s singing is when she feels most like herself. “It just feels like who I am” says Joselyn. There’s nothing she loves more than music. She hopes when she grows up, she can be a musician.
Joselyn is working hard to make her dreams come true. Not only is she learning more songs, she is writing them as well. To this date she has written three songs. One is about her dog Lupe. Another is about her best friend Aurelia who moved to France for a year. All of her ideas comes from the things happening in her life.
Joselyn is a beautiful girl inside and out. She has the magic in her to warm and sooth any soul. The love she holds for music, and is without doubt, she will fulfill her dream. In fulfilling that dream she will brighten many lives along her journey. She is a true testament to what music and happiness really is.
