Internet Star And Nashville Recording Artist, Jadyn Rylee

Exceptional things happen, to exceptional people, this happens to be a true fact, when talking about Jadyn. Already at her young age, she has an understanding of songs, that many people unfortunately never get. You wouldn’t think someone of her age would have the delivery, and  perception of songs, that is found and understood in her performances, but they are. The way she sings, is that of a much older and seasoned artist, but yet here she is stunning people with every song at just eleven years old. Jadyn, and the way she performs a song, has become an infection on the internet. She has gained internet stardom.

Jadyn’s fame, and audience grows larger by the day, with her videos reaching into the millions. One of these songs that has gotten a great deal of attention is, The Sound of Silence. This video has soared to well over four million in just barely three months. Her delivery of the song has a dark and haunting vibe to her voice, and people has gone crazy over it. Jadyn really liked this song. “The song was so deep and loud, it was fun trying to learn it” says Jadyn. Jadyn has been doing projects with Sina, and it was Sina’s dad Mike Wilbury and Rick Benbow who chose the song, The Sound of Silence. They felt people would love it, and they did in a big way.

Jadyn and Sina make a good team. Jadyn says she’s glad they found each other. “She is helpful with ideas and her drumming in our songs” says Jadyn. Currently they have three recordings together, The Sound of Silence, Nothing Else Matters, and Go Your Own Way. Plans to work on more videos together, is in the works. Jadyn hopes they will start working on something soon.

In June, Jadyn packed up and headed out to Nashville to write and record her very own songs. In Nashville she worked with legendary writer and guitarist Curt Ryle of Big Matador Records. While there they wrote three songs, and she loved the experience. “The experience was amazing because I have never had the chance to work with anyone who helped me write songs before, and I can’t believe we wrote three” Jadyn says.

Her newest release is one of the songs written and recorded in Nashville called, Don’t Judge A Book By Its Cover. This is an anti-bullying song, and it was important to her to write. “I wanted to write a song that touched people and a song that kids could look up to, especially if they had been bullied before” says Jadyn. She has been bullied herself, but not as bad as some of her friends. She wanted to let her friends and everyone to see that bullying wasn’t alright and shouldn’t be allow. “We are all human and supposed to be equal and no one deserves to be hurt like that” says Jadyn.  She hopes to do more songs like that in the future. The song has a lot of meaning that sends out a good message, and her delivery of it is unbelievable. Brilliant!

Another song they wrote is called, Virtual Reality. The song is fun and bouncy and makes you want to dance. It also mentions Arianna Grande and Jadyn hopes one day Arianna will hear it. The song is about being a kid and enjoying life. Everyone will love this song. For now her third song will remain under wraps, but I can tell you, it’s going to blow your mind.

Writing with Curt was amazing, she says. “He helped me write the lyrics, and then recorded his guitar for all of the songs. It was so much fun” says Jadyn. While in Nashville writing with Curt they stayed at his home, and something clicked with the two of them that created a good bond. Curt was amazed at the things she was able to do in the studio, and one of the things was how high she could sing. He teasingly nicknamed her, Little Freak. “The funniest part about recording in Nashville was when we would get ready to record we would first have breakfast and then go down to the studio, every morning Curt would say “Well good morning little freak” it was so funny” Jadyn says. She can’t wait to go back. On all of her recordings, she sang all of the harmonies, and Curt said he had never met anyone who could do harmonies as well as Jadyn.

Music means the world to her and loves every aspect of it. Jadyn has met and worked with a lot of amazing people, Curt, Mike, Rick, Sina, and Andre she loves them all. She loves her singing coach as well, Sarah Hyde. “Sarah has taught me so much and has always told me that I can do this and I do it well” says Jadyn. Her coach is correct, she can do and does it well.

Jadyn is an exceptional person in the way she grasps lyrics, and creativity she puts in her songs. She has become well known, but not just who she is, but the way she sings a song. The people that follow her music are loyal listeners and can’t wait for a new song. With all she has accomplished in just a short time, it is obvious she will become larger than life. The world audience loves her.

Sam Hurwitz

Throughout time, various people have come along and made an imprint in human culture, for instance J.K. Rowling, Ron Howard, and Paul McCartney. What has set these people apart from many others is, they are visionary’s. People like J.K., Ron and Paul are dreamers who look beyond the obvious, and creates something that impacts people. Sam is one of these people who has the ability to see things differently, and create something that those who listen, can find themselves being part of his story.

Sam’s ability to create began showing itself at an early age. At just two years old, Sam would play a toy guitar and make up songs. When he turned eight years old he began performing for others. It was his guitar teacher who invited him to his first performance, which was a songwriters circle.

Big dreamers often demand big audiences, well Sam got just that. He got to perform a song at a NY Knicks halftime show at Madison Square Garden. Of course this was a favorite of his. “I had never played to an audience anywhere that size and it was very exciting” says Sam. Another performance that has become one of his favorite shows was at a gala for Stuttering Association for the Young. For this gala, Sam was asked to write a song just for it. “This was the first time I had to write a song on demand. I remember the songwriting process leading up to this gig well; getting ideas, scrapping them, forming melodies, until finally coming up with a song I thought was good” says Sam. For this performance, he was accompanied by a professional band, which he really enjoyed.

The creativity Sam has as a songwriter has started to catch the attention of various people in the industry. He was an American Songwriting Magazine Daily Discovery and an American Songwriting Awards nominee for his song, Without a Rhyme. Also a weekly independent chart in the UK called, Fabchart has picked up several of his songs.

Unlike most new artists, Sam doesn’t generally perform many cover songs, but he does like to learn them, mostly the instrumentals. However his favorite artist is Wilco. “I like them because of how memorable and unique each of their songs are” says Sam. Another favorite band of his is, Avett Brothers. He says their songs are very catchy and musically interesting, especially their album I and Love and You.

Getting out and performing to showcase the songs he has written, is something he loves. Sam says he likes to see the feedback his songs get. “It is also fun to play numerous songs as a set, bringing together different projects that I’ve been working on” says Sam.  He also says, it is interesting seeing what the environment and location of each performance is, and who is attending.

Sam’s dream is to always do something involved in storytelling and fiction. It doesn’t matter if it is through writing songs, writing stories or film-making. “I am fascinated by fiction; how one thought can create a whole universe, how one sentence that anyone can write can create characters and settings. I always want to be involved with stories” Sam says. He wants to harness his creative energy and always study , create, and experience fiction.

To master the art of songwriting a person needs creativity and imagination to bring the story that is in a lyrics alive. These skills along with many others can be found in the songs Sam writes. He officially started writing songs at the age of six, he is now fourteen with sixteen songs complete. One of the songs he loves is, Without a Rhyme. He remembers the writing process and creation of the video very well. “I wrote it while I was at a creative writing camp and the process and place I was in, was very special” says Sam. The music video for this was his first and has gotten the most attention.  In four of his songs he adds harmonica and this gives a great flavor to them. His latest song, Everlasting Oak, he has combined the guitar and harmonica which brings back to life an old era from Neil Young and Bob Dylan. Sam felt this was the perfect song to add the harmonica. The guitar he used can be seen by another icon who used one like it, his name, Buck Owens. “The guitar I play in that song was a gift I received that came from the collection of my favorite musician Jeff  Tweedy of Wilco. It’s a 1969 Buck Owens American guitar and using the harmonica just felt perfect with this song and guitar” says Sam.

Creativity and imagination is not only needed in writing a song, but also, to inspire ideas. When he was younger, he said he would just pick up the guitar and start singing, and that would be the song. As he got older, his ideas came from books he was reading or more often, a theme he is interested in. “For Everlasting Oak, I thought trees and forests had a lot of great imagery and potential for thoughtful lyrics” Sam says. He also says, he likes to write his lyrics as poetry, and strive to make the audience think. “I don’t just say the theme straight out, or tell the story in a very literal way” says Sam. He likes to weave a more complex tale that will leave the listener making his or her own interpretations for it.  It is songs written like this, that stick with him.

As of right now, he doesn’t have any up coming gigs to attend, however he is starting high school this fall. During the summers is when he works on all of his passions that he doesn’t have time for during the school year. “I was lucky that I got to attend amazing programs this summer for film-making, creative writing and music” says Sam. He also self published his first book in a fantasy series that he has been writing for two years. He hopes to publish the second this fall.

Somewhere inside of Sam lies sort of a lake of creativeness that is growing deeper by the day. It is being fed by many tributaries of imagination, wonder, fiction and reality. It is felt in what he creates, that this is not just what he does, but who he “is”. He is the modern day Bob Dylan, much of who Bob was, can be felt in Sam’s music as well. Sam is not just an artist, he is a visionary. He looks at things at different angles, not just straight ahead like most. The stories that he tells are not empty, they are full of substance. The music he creates is what music was meant to be. This is only the beginning. Where will his name be in the future? Beside Ron, J.K., Bob, and Neil, could very well be!

Indiana’s Triple Threat, Adia Dant

Introducing Indiana’s triple threat, Adia Dant. Adia is extremely skilled in dance, acting and singing. She has toured the country singing and dancing her way into people’s hearts as the beloved Annie. Here recently Adia released her first original song, Wings On Your Dreams produced in Nashville. She continues to astonish people with her skills and creativity in entertainment. At just twelve years old she has already accomplished a great deal and has proven there’s no limit to what she can do.

Adia’s recording project, Wings On Your Dreams was her first original song. It is a song that has meaning and letting people know not to give up on their dreams.”My song has so much meaning not only to me but hopefully to other people to keep reaching for the stars and not to give up on your dreams” says Adia. The song was produced by Jonell Polansky at DaCapo music, and written by legendary Kim Williams. Adia delivered the song well, you can feel the passion and heart in its delivery. She is a true credit to music.

Wings On Your Dreams:

The adventures Adia has had up to this point was started several years ago. She was a dancer first, then began to sing where she could. Adia first performed at the age of six or seven at Footlite Musicals summer camp as Ancestor Meng in Mulan and at Ben Davis Performing Arts Center as Kate in Annie. This all lead her to tour the country playing the iconic role of Annie.

During the tour, Adia played the role of Pepper and Annie. The tour lasted one year with 310 shows in 32 cities with Martin Charnin directing the production. She loved being part of the tour. “It was an honor playing the title role of Annie 38 years after the first production on Broadway” says Adia. She said, she was blessed to have been picked to play these roles. “When I was on stage playing Annie, I had a real connection with her character and with Daddy Warbucks” says Adia. She loved working with the entire cast and crew. Adia says they became like family and are still very close.

While touring the country Adia had the opportunity to spend a week performing in her hometown Indianapolis. They also made a stop in New Orleans which she enjoyed very much. They were there two weeks before Mardi Gras. “I remember how much fun it was to throw/receive the beads from all of the people on the roof tops and there were parades everyday” says Adia.  The most fun for Adia was meeting all the fans in all of the cities, signing the autographs and doing talk backs with the fans, everyone loves the story behind Annie. “I also loved being on stage 8 times a week and being involved in what I love to do, it’s like a dream come true” says Adia.

Along the way she meet some amazing fans, but there was one family who she continues to stay in contact with. In the family were two girls and a baby boy, they were at the show in Ft. Myers Florida. Adia met them on the way out after the show. “They were too scared to talk to me at first until after I hugged them and asked if they liked the show” Adia says. Adia said they were so cute and after the tour, she sent them Annie t-shirts and a hat. No doubt Adia left a lasting impression on that family, but you can bet many others were touched by her along the way. She loves each and everyone of her fans.

Adia continues to sing anywhere she can. She was honored to have been chosen to sing at the 54th Circle Of Lights in November 2016. “I felt so blessed to have been chosen to perform in my hometown in front of 100,000 plus people” says Adia. She will be performing in Nashville this June during CMA week if you would like to catch one of her performances. She loves to be able to perform at so many places, this lets her be herself, and singing lets her express the emotional side of the song.

She dreams of pursuing a career in acting, singing and dancing. “I really love being on stage in music theater productions and I am also interested in trying out some TV and film projects” says Adia. She puts a great deal of time in sharpening her crafts to help her realize her dreams. This summer she will be participating in a summer theater camp in July, and then she will be traveling out of town for dance nationals.

Being versatile in the entertainment business leads to success. It has been Adia’s versatility that has allowed her to live part of her dreams thus far. With her continued efforts more of her dreams will come. Adia works hard and her achievements are testament to what can happen to those who strive. It will be exciting to watch her grow in the entertainment field. The sky is the limit for someone as talented as Adia.

Tegan Thomas

Tegan Thomas at stars2come

Tegan is a person that everyone needs to see and hear. She may be small, but there’s nothing small about her voice, and she can use it very well. She has so much going on with her voice that once she reaches the age of about fifteen, there will not be a song she can not sing, and maybe even give Miss Christina Aguilera a run for the money. Tegan is one artist you will have to keep an eye on,  she “will” be making her mark!

Tegan says she has always loved music as far back as she can remember, but when she was around three years of age, her dad taped her singing a song on his karaoke machine and posted it on YouTube making her debut performance. She says, she always loved to have the microphone and put on a show for everyone. Tegan enjoyed watching Tiffany Alvord on YouTube, and she was the person that inspired her to  start posting more videos on YouTube. She may have made her debut on YouTube at three, but it wasn’t until a year later that she made her first public performance. This performance was at her school’s talent show  and won third place.

Tegan has been busy performing, but she says performing in Nashville had to be her favorite. She had come to Nashville to be part of the Madd Talent showcase, and that is where she met her 2nd inspiration Mary Justice Lucas. Another performance she did while in Nashville was singing at the talent show at the county fair and won $500.00 and got to open up for country singer Jana Kramer. Tegan said that was the largest audience she had ever sang in front of. Shewas a bit nervous at first, but once the music started, it was like her own playground, the nerves were nowhere to be found. The crowd was so loud from cheering her on, that she could hardly hear the music and even got lost, but only for a second. Once she got back to her hotel, a few people recognized her and wanted her autograph, she loved seeing the smiles on their faces.

Tegan Thomas at stars2come This wonderful young lady has done really well with her singing and has been getting a lot of recognition. Tegan has won several ribbons and trophies for her singing. She has two first place ribbons, three first place trophies, one second place ribbon, three second place trophies. Winning awards is great, but Tegan  loves to perform as much as  seeing the crowd enjoying her performance. She loves to cover Taylor Swift. She says, she really likes Taylor’s music and the fact that she writes her own songs. Tegan might love to cover Taylor and other artists, but one day not far off she will be out performing her very own music. She has already begun writing down stuff that’s happening to her, like emotions and things, so when she does begin to write, the first song will be about her life and feelings.

Tegan hopes to become a positive role model and to help as many unfortunate children as she can. The way she would like for people to remember her is when they see her they say, “hey there’s that little girl with the great voice who helped me get the treatment I needed and gave me warm clothes when my family could not”. Now, this “is” what a true role model is all about, and Tegan is certainly that and more. She can be a great inspiration for anyone at any age, the world needs more people just like her.

Tegan has some great things coming soon. She is working on her first collaboration with three different songs and two different artists. This is something to be on the lookout for, these songs are going to be amazing. She is hoping she will be back in Nashville in the spring, but no matter where Tegan is, make sure to go see, and support this wonderful artist. Tegan, is going to be the one to beat in a very short time.

Joy Kate

Joy Kate at stars2come

Wow what an amazing singer! Joy from the great state of Mississippi has the perfect name for any entertainer because she does bring “joy” to all who listen. This girl has a voice as big as the Mississippi river and she really knows how to use it. Not only does she have a great voice there is so much to her personality and character that she can not help, but put a big smile on your face. Joy is a great entertainer and she loves to do it. She says it makes her feel good and loves to see people enjoying the show. Joy does work hard and she works to perfect her talents so that others may relax and just enjoy the show. To her it does not matter whether she is being funny, sassy, or serious it is just fun for her to imagine and perform. Joy is a great performer with an amazing future ahead of her bringing joy to everyone.

It was quite sometime before anyone knew she could sing or even would want to. Joy is the youngest of four kids and would tag along to performances and showcases her sisters were in. She was always very quiet growing up, but one day a director for her sister’s show asked why Joy was not doing this. And so one of them put her in the show and they found that she was the complete opposite on stage. What a great discovery this has been, now we have another great entertainer. However it was not long before she was singing at her brother’s piano recital, but it was at the state fair that she really took off and did it solo. At the Mississippi State Fair Talent Competition she got up and sang the only song she knew called “This Land Is Your Land” that she had learned in school. This lit the fire in her. Joy says this was the best thing she had done anywhere and wanted to take lessons and be trained to be a real singer. She is certainly a real singer, her songs are all beautifully done. The very next year she went back and won Overall in the Junior Division singing a duet with her brother. Her dad said she has never stopped since.

Joy now with her new-found love for entertaining has been sharing her talents everywhere she can. One day she decided to go to The Jimmy Rodgers Singing Competition that a friend was in to cheer her on and while she was there she asked if she could sing as well. The lady in charge let her sing and wouldn’t you know it, Joy won first place, she was eight years old.  Wow what a great day this was. Joy was also the youngest performer for the Texaco Country Showdown 2012 and came out 3rd place overall. This was the first time she had sung with a live band, she sang her favorite song, “Cowboy Sweetheart”. There were lots of prizes and a poster with her picture on it. She said the entire experience was a blast along with people asking for her autograph. Joy also likes theater and played Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz at her school. She really loved doing this because it was the lead role and she got to show off all of her skills. Joy has been in many competitions and has placed high in them all, and once you listen to her it is easy to see why she does so well.

Joy Kate at stars2come Right now Joy really loves to cover Leann Rimes. Joy says that Leann sounds great and does a lot of fun things with her voice like yodeling. Joy is fantastic when it comes to yodeling and shows it off really well singing, Cowboy Sweetheart”. When it comes to Broadway her favorite singer is Sutton Foster. Joy likes her style and loves to try and hold the really long notes like she does.

Joy is very talented vocally and she adds so much great character to the songs she sings making her so much fun to listen to. Listening to her two original songs, “The Smallest Christmas Tree” and “It’s A Perfect Day For Fun” you hear the great character that she has bringing the story in the  songs to life, making them even more enjoyable. Joy says the song, It’s A Perfect Day For Fun is a perfect song for anyone, but feels it is more about children being outside and having fun. This song was written by Jimmy Burnevik and was featured on Dance Moms. The Smallest Christmas Tree was written by Kevin Reardon and she believes it is a new classic Christmas song that should be made into a Christmas cartoon. This song tells the story of the smallest Christmas tree that one day becomes the Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree. She says it is a song about dreams coming true with a happy ending. She would love one day to sing this song at the Rockefeller Center.

Joy has been working on more of her skills which include songwriting. She says she has three songs written and they all encourage people in some way to do their best and follow their dreams. She also says she is against bullying and that is one theme that helps with her songwriting, but in general she likes to write about happiness and encouragement.

Joy’s goal is to continue to follow her passion for singing and entertaining and to use her God-given talent to make the world a better place. One thing is for sure she is making the world a better place already sharing her wonderful talent. When she was asked what she wanted people to know about her she said. “I love to eat at fine restaurants”! Then she said, “I’m just a normal girl who likes to  read and play games, but I really do think that if you set your mind to it and believe, you can do anything”!  There is no doubt she is proof that if you put your mind to it you can do anything and that happened when a quiet shy girl climbed on stage a few years ago. Now that same girl is entertaining and bring joy to many people everywhere. We are all  blessed to have such a great talent to enjoy. Keep track of her music on her reverbnation page.

Olivia Bey

Olivia Bey at stars2come

Olivia is a beautiful and talented artist living in Florida, but destined for Nashville. Olivia has one of the most powerful and clear voices in country music and it is gaining her a great deal of much deserved attention from all who hears her. Her talent as a vocalist will give rise to another major superstar and this superstar can sing anything that is put in front of her. She is incredible!

When Olivia lived in Ohio she gave her very first public performance singing at her church at the age of three. She had performed many times at the church with her mom and grandma, but this was her first solo. It is because of them that she began to sing in the first place.

Olivia has spent a lot of time on stage since the beginning. She says being on stage performing she gets a sense of freedom and power that she just can’t get anywhere else. The stage is where she feels the most comfortable, it is home for her. Olivia loves music, and she says that music makes up for what words cannot explain. She certainly explains things very well on stage.

One of Olivia’s favorite performances was when she sang the National Anthem at the Fed Cup. She said this was a large stadium and she even had a cordless mic. At this event she got to sing three songs of her choice and the Anthem. This was her first performance with in ear monitors, which she says makes a world of difference. Another performance she liked really well was when she was in Atlanta singing at a club downtown when she was about 11. Olivia remembers Michael Mauldin (Jermaine Dupri’s dad) drove by and she was asked to come out and meet him. He stayed in the car, but asked her to sing something, then he said he would be back. He did come back and waited for over two hours to hear her sing. After hearing her sing they did talk a bit about doing something together, but so far nothing has been realized. She does say she has a great deal of respect for him being the former president of Columbia Records. At this club she does remember getting a standing ovation and this club was full of hip-hop and R&B artists. You have to keep in mind that Olivia is a country artist. Domonique Mitchell her artist developer told her if you can win over a crowd like that, you are doing good.

Olivia has also made her way to TV as well. She performed the National Anthem for the Sony Open in Miami when Serena Williams won the title in 2013. At this event there were games all week and National Anthems everyday. So when she found out she was singing the finals match, she was blown away. It was a true honor.

Olivia Bey at stars2come  When Olivia is out performing she really likes covering Taylor Swift’s songs. She says Taylor’s music is written in a way of brilliance with each song having different emotions expressed. However her favorite artist in general would be Reba McEntire. She just loves Reba, she is old school and stays true to her roots. Reba is a very powerful woman and Olivia admires her for that. Just like Taylor and Reba are inspirations for Olivia, she hopes to be the same for others and inspire them with their dreams. When she makes it in music, she wants to try and help as many people as she can.

Olivia does do a great job covering songs from some major artists, but she has also started to write her own. She says she has about 20 or 30 songs written, but many of them are not finished and need work. She is just getting started, and she loves to write and pour her soul into each one. Olivia is a very emotional person and does not typically hide them very well. For her whenever she is feeling something that she can not explain she just puts it in song form. Writing is like her therapy and she enjoys it very much.

Olivia has some exciting things coming up that no one should miss, one is her very first music video. The video will be made from one of her new singles called, “My Time To Shine”. She is very excited to get to do a video for one of her own songs.

Olivia is amazing and there are always communications going on for potential opportunities in the music biz. However after Olivia was offered a record deal at the age of 12 from one of the big four record labels in the country, and being around some of the most prominent people in multiple genres of music, she has learned that if God and herself have the same vision it will happen. She says she knows what she is capable of and she works towards it every single day.

Olivia is a fantastic artist, but there is more to her than just singing. She loves being around and helping kids. Exercising is her number one hobby and really loves to run. She is not a shy person at all, and loves to make people laugh. Olivia loves to shop as well and her favorite place is at Goodwill and she goes to school online. She says she has the best family ever and has always been there for her. Olivia feels very blessed to have them.

Olivia is a country singer that is rising up fast and once you listen, it is easy to understand why. She is talent through and through without any limits to what she can accomplish. She is an artist that has many number ones to come and look forward to hearing on the radio each day. She is just amazing!

Josey Milner

Josey Milner at stars2come

Josey Milner, what an amazing artist and one with a lot of heart and people have come to love. She has an amazing song and video out called, Not Pretty Enough which is an anti-bullying message and she has done very well spreading it. The video alone has reached over 154, 000 people, she is certainly making a good impact with this great message. Josey says she was not the one who wrote the song, but once her manager showed it to her she fell in love with it. People are always telling her how much they appreciate the song and what it stands for. Josey says she still has people contacting her and telling her stories about real life experiences with bullying. It is very heart warming for her to know people really care about what she is doing. Bullying is something that can be stopped and Josey is doing her part by helping to spread the message, and she has touched people’s lives.

She has been performing all her life, but for the past two years she has been performing heavy with her band. They have been performing all over Missouri and Kansas ranging from fairs to festivals and even opening  for some big name acts. Sometime in the next couple of years she hopes to branch out into some other states. One of her favorite performances so far has been when she opened for Scotty McCreery. She said it was so unbelievable and the crowd was great. The stage went out into the crowd, and it was cool for her walking out and people giving her high fives and wanting to touch her hands. She says it was her fifteen minutes of fame. After the concert everyone was wanting their photos taken with her and signing autographs. It was truly amazing for her.

Josey loves being on stage and knowing people are there to watch her and that she is providing entertainment for them. When ever she is on stage she loves to cover Miranda Lambert when she can. She said it is really fun doing her songs and people always complement her on how well she can pull off Miranda’s songs. She is her very favorite artist.

Her goal is to take her career as far as she can take it. She would love to be able to step into the spotlight on a stage in front of thousands of fans screaming her name. To be able to perform on the Grand Ole Opry or the Ryman Auditorium would be pretty awesome for her as well, but as long as people enjoy and support what she is doing she is happy.

Josey says she has not really gotten into writing much yet, but when she thinks about a song though she tries to focus on the meaning behind the lyrics and if people will relate to them. She says that is why people love country music because the songs tell stories and anyone can find a country song they can relate to.

Josey is just seventeen years old and really loves what she does and she appreciates all the support she has gotten and hopes that support continues. She says if it wasn’t for everyone supporting her she wouldn’t be able to do this career. She wants to give a huge thank you to everyone out there. Josey is an amazing singer her voice belongs on the radio and it is not likely to be far down the road before you turn on your favorite country station and there she will be. She is a great new country star on the rise.

Carly Peeters

Carly Peeters at stars2come

Carly is a little ray of sunshine. She is from Hawaii and now lives in LA, and when she moved, all that great sunshine came with her. Everything she does from singing, comedy, or just talking she brightens the day for everyone. You can see the sun radiating from her in  her performances and photos. Carly has many great songs and videos that will put a smile on your face. Her videos are very entertaining and put together with stories in them all. Many people will just stand and sing, but Carly likes to act out the story when making her videos, it is so creative in the way she tells these stories.

Carly is talented in many ways. She is a great singer, but she is also a very funny stand-up comedian. Singing came first for her in the spring of 2010. Carly sang for the first time at her school fair at Lolani, in Honolulu, then sang several times at Don Ho`s Grill. This past August she enjoyed performing for a half hour at a Ronald McDonald House benefit. She played the ukulele and sang both originals and covers. She also did some stand-up comedy with the emcee, and really enjoyed being able to do the comedy and music for a good cause. One of her favorite places to perform was at the Tiki`s Grill in Honolulu, she sang three songs during their open mic and the audience wanted more. When Carly sings live she prefers to play her instrument as well, instead of singing with a karaoke CD, she finds this more exciting. She says there is so much to love in music, that is why she enjoys it so much. She also loves how you can speak to someone’s heart through music.

Carly`s music is fantastic and very enjoyable to listen to, but she can tell some awesome jokes too. She is very bright and witty when it comes to her stand-up comedy. In February 2011 she tried her hand at stand-up comedy at the LA improv.  This opened her eyes about just how fun stand-up comedy really is. She enjoyed playing out her routine to the crowd and timing her jokes, just so. Carly was studying under Joey Paul Jensen and she has a stand-up improv comedy class that she really enjoyed. She performs with the Standing Tall Kids and Teens, it is a stand-up comedy troupe, and have 3-4 shows per year. Carly has performed four times at the LA Improv and once at Hurra’s in Las Vegas. She finds writing her material and developing a lot of fun. She says doing stand-up comedy lets her take her goofiness to a new level. If you ever get a chance be sure to check out some of her stand-up comedy she is hilarious.

She is defiantly multi-talented, and when it comes to her videos she is no different, they are very creative and you can even see some that sun shinning through her in the videos.  Carly says she loves telling stories through her music and with her acting. One of her favorite videos to make was “Gunpowder”, because she made it during her short year in Carlisle, Pennsylvania. With this video she will always remember the farming town she lived in. She also made a video of the cover “Lazy Song” in Hawaii. She did change the lyrics a bit to make it island style. She says that there is nothing like making a video of one of your own original songs, which she did for “Dream and Pop Sells”.

Carly does love to sing and act, but she is also very passionate about reading.  She will read 1-2 chapter books per week, she reads so much that her mom refuses to buy books, so they spend a lot of time at the library. She has many activities to fill her time, a couple of these are dancing and horseback riding. It is amazing that she has any time for anything else, but she makes it happen some way just like working on her musical web-series. This series is called, Dream A Tweeny Musical, she has already posted the first video for this, “Pop Sells”. She will be releasing her songs as the episodes come up. She will be posting the next episode soon and you can catch it on her web site www.dreamtweentv.com. This is one amazing girl, she can do anything, and it is all very entertaining. It is incredible how much talent she has. Carly is someone that will brighten your day. Any time you feel down look up Carly and let some of that sun she carries shine on you.
